Coast Guard Helicopter Rescues 3 Boaters From Capsized Vessel In NJ (Video) Members of the US Coast Guard rescued three people from a capsized boat this weekend. The operator aboard an 18-foot disabled vessel used a VHF-FM radio to contact Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, requesting assistance getting to shore in Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor (scroll for video). The operator reported he had three people aboard his vessel and was anchored less than a mile from Great Bay Marina. 22-Year-Old Driver Killed In I-295 Crash A 22-year-old driver was killed in a crash on I-295 early Sunday, Oct. 8, police said. Cameron Boyle, of Morris Plains, was heading north in a Honda when he lost directional control and ran off the roadway to the right, hitting a tree and concrete bridge support, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. It happened at 3:44 a.m. on the northbound side, at milepost 63 in Hamilton Township, police said. Boyle died in the accident, which remains under investigation.

Yankee Shortstop Anthony Volpe Swings By NJ Cafe New York Yankee Anthony Volpe paid a visit to his home state on Friday, Oct. 6. The 21-year-old short stop stopped to snap a picture at Blue Cafe in Basking Ridge. "You never know who will come to Blue Café," the shop wrote on Facebook. Reward Up To $8K Offered In 18-Year-Old Baltimore Man's Killing A reward of up to $8,000 is being offered in connection with the killing of an 18-year-old Baltimore man this week. Hy’main Amos was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body on the 500 Block of North Calhoun Street Tuesday evening, Oct. 3, city police said.
