NJ's Newest Chick-fil-A Sets Opening Date
New Jersey is getting a new Chick-fil-A. The popular fried chicken chain, Chick-fil-A West Pond, is coming to Route 9 in Woodbridge, on Thursday, Sept. 7. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Amanda Halligan as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of the restaurant. Chick-fil-A West Pond will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and third-party delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Police ID Pedestrian, 32, Killed By Car In Central Jersey
A 32-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Central Jersey. Matthew H. Brunner, of East Brunswick, was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Cranbury Road and Henly Drive around 8:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, East Brunswick police said. Brunner was critically injured and later pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash. The 34-year-old killer who slipped by guards at the Chester County prison this week was spotted Saturday morning, Sept. 2, authorities said. Danelo Cavalcante, of Royersford, was convicted earlier this month of fatally stabbing his 33-year-old ex, Deborah Brandao, at her home in Schuylkill Township in April 2021. A man found with a gunshot wound Friday night, Sept. 1 in Fairfax County has died, authorities said. Officers were on scene of the shooting in the 8700 block of Sacramento Drive in Woodlawn when they found the man with a gunshot wound to the upper body, county police said. A death investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a burning dumpster on Friday, Sept. 1 in Arlington, Daily Voice has learned. Firefighters responded to reports of a dumpster fire on the 200 block of S. Veitch Street, around 11:40 a.m., Arlington spokeswoman Ashley Savage said.
