Clementon Park & Splash World Shooting: Philadelphia Gunman Arrested, Police Say A Philadelphia man was arrested for a shooting that broke out at a New Jersey water park. Quahee Eaton-Kennedy, 24, was arrested after the shooting in the parking lot of Clementon Park and Splash World around 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, Clementon police said. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found people fighting in the parking lot. Police separated the individuals involved and charged Eaton Kennedy with second-degree weapon possession. Swimmer Fatally Struck By Boat In Atlantic City: Police A swimmer was fatally struck by a boat over the weekend in Atlantic City, authorities said. Norma Michaels, 79, of Ventnor, was swimming in the Intracoastal Waterway near a floating dock in Atlantic City around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, when she was struck by a 20-foot Robalo fishing boat, State Police said. Michaels was pronounced dead and the 52-year-old boat operator, who was not injured, remained at the scene.

Senate President Nick Scutari, who was named acting governor following the death of Sheila Oliver, signed a handful of bills into law early this week.  Among them, one that sets penalties for noise violations, another that caps towing and storage fees.
