Ho-Ho-Kus Will See Santa At Work At The Hermitage HO-HO-KUS, N.J. -- The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus is hosting a “Santa’s Workshop" on Sunday, Dec. 20.Children can visit Santa while he prepares for his big night, as well as make some crafts and take some photos with Santa. Children are invited to send a letter to Santa in care of The Hermitage. Letters received by Dec. 15 will be displayed at the workshop. One prize will be awarded to a young letter writer selected at random. Children must be present to win the prize. Brownies were created in the United States at the end of the 19th century. The cross between cake and cookie soon became a popular dessert item. Bomb Sniffing Dog Bitten In Stamford Dog Fight STAMFORD, Conn. -- Pogo, a bomb sniffing dog in the Stamford Police force, was injured during a dog fight in Fort Stamford Park on Friday, according to the Stamford Advocate. Pogo is a White Labrador who graduated from his bomb detection course in June, was working with handler Jim Comstock during the time of the fight, the Stamford Advocate reported. Norwalk Councilman Arrested At Party NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Democratic City Councilman Travis Simms was arrested after allegedly being involved in an altercation at a party, according to The Hour. Simms, along with Franklin Eaton, 24, was charged with third-degree assault. Both are scheduled to return to court on Friday, Dec. 18, The Hour reported.
