Dover School Bus Crash Sends Driver To Hospital DOVER PLAINS, N.Y. -- A small school bus from the Dover School District crashed around 8:50 a.m. Wednesday on Route 343, according to the New York State Police. The bus, which did not contain any students, was involved in a single-car crash that entrapped the driver at the intersection of Route 343 with Hammond Hill Road, said Trooper Melissa McMorris. The driver was extricated and taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for treatment, McMorris said. The cause of the accident is under investigation, she added.
