Irvington Schools Shut Down Faucets After High Lead Levels Detected IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Twelve water sources at two Irvington Union Free School District schools have been shut down following recent water testing for lead at the district's elementary schools. In all, 146 water sources were tested with 12 coming back above the legal level for lead, said Carol Stein, assistant superintendent for business and operations.  "Luckily, all of the water sources are not drinking fountains and are hand washing sinks, such as one used to wash pans or hands," Stein said. Students Receive Minor Injuries In School Bus Crash All of the North Valley Regional High School students injured during a crash between two school buses on the Palisades Parkway in Rockland on Monday have been released from the hospital, according to New York State  Trooper Steven Nevel. More than 40 students were treated at two hospitals following the accident that occurred when one bus rear-ended the other while on a school trip, Nevel said. Most of the injuries included concussions, facial cuts, scrapes and bruises, Nevel said. The students were returning from a sophomore class day trip to Woodmont Day Camp in New City in Clarkstown.

Carr, 19, of Brooklyn, were busted after troopers stopped the Acura they were traveling in for erratic driving on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, state police said.
