Woman Charged With Stealing From JV Mall YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Mahopac woman was charged with stealing from the Sears store at the Jefferson Valley Mall after she was caught with $60 worth of merchandise, according to the Yorktown Police. Susan Dowling, 66, was charged with petit larceny after police arrived at the store for a shoplifting compliant and found that she had attempted to walk out of mall without paying for the merchandise, police said. Dowling was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.

Drunk Driver Crashes Into Parked Cars In Yorktown, Police Say YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A 22-year-old Yorktown man was charged with driving under the influence after he drove his vehicle into two parked cars, according to Yorktown Police. Gerard Giblin was arrested after police received a report from a resident on Morningview Drive of an auto accident that caused property damage in the early afternoon on Tuesday, Oct. 12. When officers arrived, they found that Giblin, driving a 2002 Honda had hit the two parked cars and then fled on foot, police said. Officers were able to track Giblin down in the area of the accident and determined that he was drunk.…
