Police: Irvington Man Steals Women's Underwear In String Of Burglaries

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington police recently busted a local man for burglary when they found numerous items at his home, including women and girls underwear, thefts he had committed throughout the area, according to the Irvington Police Department.
The 22-year-old man, whom police have not named, was charged with the latest burglary that occurred on Monday, Oct. 10, following a search of his home that turned up numerous items related to local burglaries, police said.

Hayrides, Petting Zoo Highlight South Orangetown Day
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Residents can expect a day of fun and lovely fall weather to enjoy the second annual South Orangetown Day on Saturday. The day, which celebrates the South Orangetown community, features hayrides, a petting zoo from Bell-ans Farm, exotic animals, face painting, arts and crafts, and more, said Phyllis Dodge, one of the organizers of the event.
"We have a proud and thriving community who wants to represent and celebrate," she said.

Rocket Launch Will Be Visible In Armonk, Along East Coast
Space fans and those who just want a look at the beautiful sight of a rocket headed for the heavens won't want to miss the launch of a private rocket from Virginia on Sunday, Oct. 16, as it heads to the International Space Station.
The two-stage Antares rocket launch from Wallops Island, Va., scheduled for 8:03 p.m., is expected to be visible to millions along the U.S. East Coast, weather permitting, said Space.com.
