Danbury Animal Welfare Society Hosts Tag Sale DANBURY, Conn. -- Pet lovers will want to help support the Danbury Animal Welfare Society when they host their annual tag sale on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday June 12. Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (with early birds at 8 a.m. for $5), Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, the event will be held at the Bethel Municipal Center, 1 School St. Visitors will find everything from household goods to books and clothes. Danbury Begins Paving Project On Rolfs Drive, Noteworthy Drive DANBURY, Conn. — Drivers should take note that the Danbury Public Works Department will be conducting road construction on Rolfs Drive and Noteworthy Drive beginning on Monday, June 13.The construction will not result in road closings, however there is the possibility of travel restrictions during this work period. Construction should last approximately four to five weeks. For questions, call the Danbury Department of Public Works at 203-797-4605.

30 Students Inducted To National Technical Honor Society The Center for Career Services was a hive of activity recently as 30 of its students in various career and technical education programs got ready to be inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, a ceremony that recognized their academic excellence, character and attitude toward their vocational studies. Peekskill Middle School Students Show Support For Farmworkers’ Rights PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Students from Peekskill Middle School lined the Washington Street sidewalk outside the school recently as farm workers, activists, and allies of the March for Farmworker Justice made their way through the streets of Peekskill, which was just one of multiple stops on the marchers’ 200 mile trek from Long Island to Albany.
