VA Hudson Valley Offers Caregiver Telephone Education Groups
MONTROSE, N.Y. -- The Department of Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Health Care System in Montrose will conduct two telephone education groups titled “Finding Your Voice: Self Advocacy in Medical Settings,” during the month of June. The groups will be offered Tuesday, June 14, at 10 a.m., and Wednesday, June 22, at 3 p.m., or Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m.
The VA Caregiver Support Line will facilitate the sessions, which are open to family caregivers of veterans of all eras.

Eastchester Hosting Annual Green Festival
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Earth lovers will want to grab the whole family and head for Eastchester Town Hall this Saturday when they host the 8th annual Green Festival.Residents are invited to celebrate Mother Earth from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with plenty of exhibits including the Audubon Society, Greenburgh Nature Center, composting, solar energy, and much more.

EPA Awards Shelton $200K For Brownfield Cleanup
SHELTON, Conn. — The Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded $15,994,000 in Brownfield grants to municipalities and organizations working in all six New England states, including $200,000 to the city of Shelton, to protect people’s health by assessing and cleaning up contaminated parcels in New England communities.
