Shea in Hartford on June 7, followed by five years of supervised release, according to Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Lightning Strike Damages Electrical System At Easton Elementary School EASTON, Conn. -- A lighting strike in April caused damage to the electric system at Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton, damaging the air conditioning, the sewer pumps and the entry control system, according to the Easton Courier. School administrators, who are working with the school's insurance company to cover the damage, didn't even realize the air conditioner was affected until the school turned it on last week, said the Easton Courier.
