Piermont Event Raises Funds For Rockland Police Chief's Foundation PIERMONT, N.Y. -- The Police Chief's Foundation of Rockland County will hold its annual barbecue Thursday in Piedmont to raise funds for the foundation, which donates thousands of dollars to local law enforcement agencies for projects and programs. The event, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., will be held at Cornetta's, 641 Piermont Ave. Cost is $40 per person and includes assorted seafood, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and drinks. Clark Chapin, the state has agreed to absolve Brookfield of almost $1 million it owes the state for the high school renovation project, according to WLAD.com. 81-Year-Old Bridgewater Man Seriously Injured In Brookfield Crash BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- An 81-year-old Bridgewater man is in serious condition following a traffic accident in Brookfield at the intersection of Obtuse Hill Road South and Route 133 on June 7, according to WLAD.com. The elderly man crashed into a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old Brookfield man, police told WLAD.com. The elderly driver had to be cut from his vehicle before he was taken to Danbury Hospital.
