Lacey Blount Dies After 'Short But Valiant' Cancer Battle, 38 Emma Lacey Blount died after a short but valiant cancer battle on Friday, Aug. 18, her obituary says. She was 38 years old. A Partlow resident, Lacey worked as the office manager of Blount Customs homes and as a bus driver for the county's schools. Locals may remember her for her many years of work at the 2400 Diner. I-66 Shooting Between Vehicles Sends Passenger To Hospital A shooting between vehicles on Interstate 66 sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 22 in Fairfax County, Virginia State Police said. Gunfire broke out between two Honda sedans on the eastbound side around 1:10 p.m. Both vehicles pulled over to the side of the interstate near the 50 mile marker. The shooting suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody by state police without incident. Interesting Twist Revealed In I-66 Fatal Pedestrian Crash A strange twist has been revealed in a fatal pedestrian crash on I-66. A 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis was heading west near Exit 6 when it encountered a pedestrian lying in the roadway just before 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, Virginia State Police said. The Mercury was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian, later identified as Robert L.
